New Client Profile: Quantya

“Quantya brings Swiss engineering and style to the electric vehicle marketplace at a time when the world is focused on finding solutions to battle climate change.  We’re thrilled to work with Quantya on capturing a slice of the $14.6 billion U.S. motorcycle market,” says Three Squares President Jaime Nack.

Quantya combines Swiss ingenuity and attention to quality to deliver electric transportation based on lithium polymer battery technology and a proprietary Battery Management System (BMS).  Quantya’s current production line features 3 types of electric motorcycles designed for recreation and street usage.  Quantya’s research and development lab in Switzerland is also testing proprietary technologies on other types of vehicles (electric cars, trucks and ATVs) in order to market Quantya’s components to  electric automobile manufacturers who rely on lithium polymer batteries, like Tesla Motors.   Quantya has received numerous national and international awards for its engineering and design prowess and continues to receive support from the Swiss Office of Energy.

Confused about biochar?

We have heard a lot about biochar lately and find that many are confused about whether this charcoal (yes, a word which includes “coal”) can really be a good thing.  This article by The Economist does a great job of explaining how biochar enriches the soil while reducing GHG emissions:
