Case Study: Democratic National Convention

For the first time in the history of the Convention, the DNC called for a comprehensive sustainability and greening plan. As Director of Sustainability and Greening Operations for the DNC, Three Squares President Jaime Nack implemented a plan which was unprecedented in size and scope and has been referenced as a leading industry case study for event greening. The plan included measuring the carbon footprint of the 4-day convention and incorporating measures to reduce the environmental impact of the following key areas: Offices, Transportation, Energy, Waste, Materials, and Production.
