This session was presented at the Green Meeting Industry Council's annual conference entitled "Greening the Hospitality In

"Sustainability in Action" at California Lutheran University

This presentation discussed the challenges and benefits of adapting events, such as conventions, conferences, festivals, etc., to include a greening and sustainability initiative. The second part included an interactive sustainability workshop that highlights successful sustainability programs on other college campuses.

Clean Energy Jobs Event at G20 Summit -Pittsburgh, PA

Three Squares Inc. teamed up with the Alliance for Climate Protection, United Steelworkers (USW), Repower America and the Blue Green Alliance for a rally and concert promoting clean energy legislation and the importantce of green jobs. The event took place in Point State Park in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh on the eve of the G20. Thousands gathered to see "rockers, politicians, and unions" team up for clean energy.

"We're trying to send a message with this event. Obviously the leaders of the world, the G-20 countries, are coming to Pittsburgh tomorrow. Energy and climate are on the agenda for that meeting," said Alan Meyer of the Union of Concerned Scientists.
