The Women In Green Forum Wins LA County Green Leadership Award

During a Board of Supervisors meeting and Green Leadership Reception held on April 26th at the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration, the County of Los Angeles presented Three Squares Inc. with the Green Leadership Award in the Business/Private Sector category for its annual event, the Women In Green Forum.

"It is a high honor to be recognized by the County of Los Angeles," said Jaime Nack, President of Three Squares Inc. and Founder of the Women In Green Forum. "We are proud of the Women In Green Forum's mission to support women driving innovation in sustainability throughout Los Angeles and the world."

The annual Green Leadership Awards were established in 2008 by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to recognize the efforts of Los Angeles County residents, businesses, nonprofit organizations, community groups, and cities that develop and employ innovative strategies and initiatives to enhance the region's environmental sustainability.

The Green Leadership Awards judges applauded the Women In Green Forum's sustainable event management initiatives including waste minimization and diversion efforts, stringent sustainable catering standards, efficient energy and water use, and event carbon neutral certification. They also commended the event's successes in creating a platform for women leaders in the environmental industry and a setting in which a community of sustainability professionals can flourish..Read More
