Project: Young Global Leaders Greenland Expedition 2019

TSI hosts Arctic expeditions curated for small groups of individuals, influencers, and corporate boards with the goal of deepening their understanding of the climate crisis and helping craft their climate action plans.

Most recently, TSI partnered with the World Economic Forum and Active Philanthropy in May 2019 to host an expedition with 20 Young Global Leaders from 16 countries. Participants visited glaciers and met with Inuit leaders to learn about the effect climate change is already having on the region.

As a result of this expedition, participants made major commitments to climate action, including committing to making significant energy transitions within their corporations, holding meetings with industry associations about the climate crisis, and integrating climate action into public policy.

This expedition provides an example of the highly curated experiences TSI organizes that blend climate science learnings with exhilarating experiences in nature and moments for personal reflection.
